The Williams Fire Department responded to a fire in a guest room at the Econo Lodge at 750 N. Grand Canyon Blvd. in Williams at 4:13 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
The fire reportedly started in the bathroom of one of the guest rooms at the hotel and may have spread into the ceiling and possibly the attic. Williams Firefighters responded quickly and had the fire under control in just a few minutes, keeping the damage to the one room.
Surrounding Fire Departments sent resources to the fire including; Camp Navajo FD, Ponderosa FD, and Sherwood Forest FD.
The hotel was evacuated and no one was injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
