High winds are believed to be the cause of a power outage in and around the City of Williams.
Large power poles in the area of Interstate 40 and Airport Road in Williams were downed causing the outage. An estimated 1200 customers are currently without power, and may be for some time.
Large power poles are on the way to the area from other parts of Arizona, as are additional APS power line crews. The current updated estimate could see some customers without power well into late Wednesday.
You can check the APS website for updates on the outage here https://outagemap.aps.com/outageviewer/
Most of the affected customers in Williams are north of the railroad tracks, the rest are north of town along Highway 64.
We use and highly recommend back up power systems from Bluetti. Lower prices and new models are available in many price ranges. We have several early Bluetti products and they have been trouble free for years.
